Kristin never set out to work in technology. Rather, she says it was an interest to work in a people-centered business that led her to JMARK Business Solutions Inc.
“I have always enjoyed being around people, helping people and talking to people. … ‘People First, Technology Second’ was not the mission statement when I started with JMARK six years ago, but that dedication to people is what drives our culture internally and externally still today”.
Dunn has worn several hats for JMARK. She began her career at the technology firm as a business development specialist in 2014.
A year later, she transitioned to her role as a client relationship manager for the company for over five years before being named the company’s first collaboration specialist in 2020. She says the new role is focused on connecting employees to business goals and values through advising implementation of collaboration platforms for businesses like Workplace by Facebook.
“Businesses work better when everyone is on the same page. And providing an inclusive space everyone can feel like they are part of something is more important now than ever,” she says.
Her role as a client relationship manager allowed her to see the important connection between people and technology.
“The world is changing at a rapid pace and for business to grow and innovate they have to embrace technology,” says Dunn. “It is my passion to help guide people through the process of making the right technology choices for their business.”
