Have you ever called Microsoft customer service to report an issue? If so, your data may have been exposed last month in a breach that Microsoft just announced.
According to The Hacker News, “Microsoft today admitted a security incident that exposed nearly 250 million “Customer Service and Support” (CSS) records on the Internet due to a misconfigured server containing logs of conversations between its support team and customers.”
The records span for a period of 14 years and include IP addresses, email addresses, and details of the support interaction. Most records did not contain any further personal information.
