We know you have received several updates and articles about the coronavirus/COVID-19 situation, but as your strategic technology partner, we felt that it was important to share information about our preparedness and the actions we are taking.
First, as to what it means for your continued support and safety, the short version is simple: We are ready, and should it be necessary to function in a remote capacity we will continue our support, as usual.
While we don’t want to cause alarm or unnecessary concern, we do need to be ready for the worst-case scenarios. Just like you, we are continuing to monitor the coronavirus situation closely, and we PROMISE that the ongoing safety of our employees, clients, and obviously all of our families, as well as the unimpeded support and services from JMARK, are our TOP PRIORITIES.
The coronavirus pandemic is evolving daily, and many companies are contemplating their ability to mitigate risks, do their part to prevent the spread of this virus, and continue operating if the worst happens. We are closely monitoring developments with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and World Health Organization and listening to our employees to guide our actions.
For those of you that were with us back in the flood of 2016, you will know that we are able to provide support as normal in the midst of having to relocate our entire team and facilitating a work-from-home protocol. We have more protocols in place for this type of situation than most companies, because we have executed it. We know what works and what challenges occur and are confident in our ability to continue your support as normal. JMARK has a sophisticated and thorough backup and disaster continuity plan, redundant data centers, a distributed workforce, and ongoing plans to address emergencies that might affect our ability to service and support our clients.
With a “trust but verify” approach, in the next week, JMARK is operating simulations against our backup and disaster continuity plan. We will be performing both department-level simulations as well as company-wide simulations to ensure that all employees are capable of working effectively in a remote environment at a moment’s notice while maintaining proper security and communications. This action will confirm that JMARK is prepared to service and support our clients if a quarantine situation occurs. Currently, JMARK has employees working out of 11 states, so we are already very distributed.
Additionally, we are implementing internal policies to help mitigate the spread of the coronavirus to our communities, employees, and clients. These include an air travel ban, increased cleaning and disinfection programs, a ban on vendor/partner air travel to our offices, and other measures that will be implemented on a case-by-case basis.
JMARK has access to online meeting tools and is prepared to help you utilize this benefit and capability to increase your own preparedness. This will help you to rapidly facilitate a remote workforce, large or small, for your business. If you would like more information, please contact us through the email below.
You may also be wondering about the status of JBITS 2020. At this time the summit is still on and we are looking at all options to ensure the safety of all attendees and presenters. As the situation develops, we will communicate changes and updates about the summit.
We appreciate your partnership and stand ready to assist in any way we can to help you through this situation. We will continue to update you with information and resources as things develop.
If you have any questions, concerns, or would like assistance, please send us an email by clicking here or writing to [email protected].
Dedicated to your success!
